One, Two...

Thank you grandma Julie for the cute little piggy bank you gave to Cade for Christmas. He has been playing with it every day. It plays music, makes noise when you drop in a coin, and you can make it so it counts when you put the coins in also. I think it's helping him learn to count too. Today he said "one, two..." I'm still working on getting him to say three right after that, but I have heard him say three a few times while playing. His favorite is still number one though and he will walk around pointing one finger saying, "one."

My Big Red Chair

I think Cade is starting to learn his colors. Yesterday he said 'red' twice, but I figured he was just mimicking what I was saying without understanding what I meant. Later that day I told him to get in his red chair for his snack and pointed to his walker that he has been quite attached to lately. He looked up at me and ran off to the his room. I was surprised because I knew he wanted his snack. I looked in his room to see him climbing up into his big red chair that he loves even more than his recent attachment to that silly walker. Today he said red again and also pointed to something blue in a little book we were reading and said "bwue."

Cade's Art Project

Today Cade colored in his new Sesame Street coloring book he got for Christmas. Lynnell and Cade cut out Elmo and made a paper bag puppet. Cade even got to help use the scissors, glue stick, and red marker. He is used to using crayons and he didn't know what to think when he saw that the marker actually marked on his hand.

Even an Old Barn Looks Better With a Fresh Coat of Paint

This weekend we took the next step in our remodeling and finished painting the kitchen. We think it really spiced things up and gave the kitchen the finished look it was missing.

Keeping in Touch

As a family we tend to "get in trouble" quite often for not sending pictures, and yes, not keeping in touch. Despite this lack of communication, we have plenty of adventures we would like to share with you. We hope that our little blog can serve as a kind of family journal for us to share with those we love. We would love to hear from each of you and hear all about your life's adventures too!
